1. Kathakali

It is one of the classical dance forms in India and is originated from Kerala. This art is based on Mudra, and the play is related to the stories or myths of Hindu culture. Kathakali is communicated to audiences via facial expression, palm expression, and also with music and vocal performance. Kathakali is Hindu performance art. 2. Mohiniyattam

3. Ottamthullal

Ottamthullal is a ritual dance form of Kerala. This unique art is performed by a single person and he gave us too many opportunities to laugh. Mainly the performance is based upon mocking the relevant subjects. The famous Malayalam poet Kunchan Nambiyar created this dance form during the 18th century. Mainly there are three types of Thullal such as Parayanthullal, Ottanthullal and Seetankanthullal. The colourful costume and green makeup are the main attraction and singing and dancing are done by himself. He has the power to tease others. It is a humorous art form.

4.Theyyam

It is one of the most famous rituals art form in Kerala and is also known as Dance of God. This visual art form of Gods is originated from Kolathunadu and is the famous art of North Malabar. Theyyam is very colourful and different types of Theyyams like Pottan Theyyam, Kandanarkelan Theyyam and so on. The Theyyam period starts from the 10th of Malayalam month Thulam (October/November) and ends in June. The unique makeup creates a threatening feel.

5. Chakyarkoothu

It is one of the traditional Art forms of Kerala. The performance art is originated in Kerala and it is a one-man show. He narrates the stories of Hindu epics like Ramayana, Mahabharatha, etc. This comedy act is performed in Koothambalam, a special area arranged in some temples. In between the stories, he will tell some joke to entertain the audience. The gestures and postures are very attractive. It needs only minimal choreography and makeup.
